Shipping & Processing
All of our candles are hand-poured to order with care. Please allow 2–3 business days for processing before your order ships. We currently ship within the U.S. and offer calculated rates at checkout.
Do you accept returns?
Due to the nature of our products, all sales are final. However, if your order arrives damaged or there’s an issue with your candle, please contact us within 48 hours and we’ll make it right.
Candle Safety & Care Instructions
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Always keep it in sight and out of reach of children and pets. Keep candles away from anything that could catch fire.
Before Lighting
Trim the wick to 1/4" each time before lighting.
Do not allow wick trimmings to accumulate in the wax pool.
Avoid water or other liquids from entering the wax pool—this can cause combustion.
Place your candle on a temperature-safe, non-flammable surface.
While Burning
Candles can get hot—allow them to cool completely before moving.
Keep candles away from drafts to ensure an even burn.
Burn no longer than 3 hours at a time for best results.
Leave at least 10cm between burning candles.
When to Discontinue Use
Stop burning when there’s 1/2" of wax left. This ensures the container doesn’t overheat and prevents burns to your surface.
Why These Steps Matter
Your safety is our priority. Candles are open flames, and just as you wouldn’t leave a stove on unattended, the same care is needed. Accumulation of water or foreign substances in the wax pool can cause dangerous combustion—so it's vital to follow these simple guidelines.
Remember, discontinuing use before the candle burns to the very bottom prevents over-heating and ensures your nightstand stays safe.
What kind of wicks do you use?
At Audacious Beauty, Co., we primarily use 100% cotton wicks, carefully selected for their braid style, thickness, and burn quality. On rare occasions, we also use zinc-core or wooden wicks, depending on the desired burn experience for a specific candle. Our wooden wicks are domestically sourced and offer a cozy, fireplace-like crackle.
Because our cotton wicks are untreated and natural, you may occasionally notice a "mushroom" shape form at the tip. This is normal and can happen when a candle burns for long periods, sits near a draft (like a fan or window), or isn’t trimmed before re-lighting.
To maintain a clean, even burn:
Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each use.
No fancy tools needed—a tissue or cloth will do the trick (just be sure the candle is cool and unlit).
Trimming helps reduce soot, keeps the flame steady, and extends the life of your candle.
Why is my candle smoking or leaving soot on the glass?
If you notice what seems like excessive smoke or soot buildup inside your candle’s glass, don’t worry—it’s usually an easy fix.
The most common causes are:
A draft near your candle (from a window, fan, or vent)
A wick that’s too long or hasn’t been trimmed
To correct it:
Extinguish the candle safely.
Wait until the wick is completely cool.
Trim the wick to about ¼ inch before relighting.
Make sure the candle is in a stable, draft-free environment.
Here’s why it happens:
When you light a candle, the heat melts the wax, which travels up the wick. As it reaches the flame, the wax vaporizes and begins a process called pyrolysis, turning into gas and fine particles. Ideally, this gas is fully burned, creating a clean, bright flame. But if the burn is interrupted by air movement or a wick that’s too large the flame can’t fully consume the vapor. That’s when soot (carbon) may form and rise as smoke or collect on the glass.
Keep it trimmed and protected from breezes, and your candle will burn beautifully.
Why did my candle change color?
Occasionally, you may notice slight discoloration in your candle over time. This can happen for a couple of reasons:
Exposure to natural or artificial light
A natural reaction between ingredients in the wax or fragrance oil and the heat of the flame
At Audacious Beauty, Co., we carefully test each candle for ingredient compatibility and stability. While subtle shifts in color can occur, especially in artisanal blends, they are purely cosmetic and will not affect the performance or scent of your candle.

When will I receive my order?
Each Audacious Beauty candle is handcrafted in Dallas, Texas, moving through multiple artisan touchpoints before it's ready to ship.
Processing Time: 2–3 business days
Shipping Time: Typically 1–7 business days, depending on location and carrier
Shipping Origin: Dallas, Texas
Studio Hours: Closed on weekends
Orders placed Saturday or Sunday will begin processing Monday and ship out Tuesday, unless expedited shipping is selected at checkout.

Are your candles refillable?
While our cocktail glass vessels are not currently refillable, they’re absolutely reusable. We recommend repurposing them for sipping, styling, or storing something beautiful.
Can I reuse my cocktail candle vessel?
Absolutely — in fact, we designed them with that very intention.
Each Audacious Beauty, Co. candle is hand-poured into a beautiful cocktail glass that’s meant to elevate your space while it’s burning… and live on long after the flame is gone.
While candles and fragrances may not change the world, we believe in the quiet power of beauty. If your candle brings you delight, calm, or joy—even for a moment—we’ve done our job. And if you choose to turn that empty vessel into a bud vase, cocktail glass, makeup brush holder, or something entirely your own, that’s exactly what we hoped for.
Cleaning Your Vessel for Reuse
You might notice a bit of soot (carbon) buildup on the inside of the glass as your candle nears the end of its life.
This is often due to:
Not trimming the wick to ¼ inch before lighting
Burning in a drafty area (near a fan, window, or AC)
Once your candle is finished, here’s how to clean it:
Wipe out soot by hand using a dry tissue or disposable rag
(Avoid using dish brushes—carbon can stain them permanently.)
Hand-wash with warm, soapy water to remove remaining wax residue
For stubborn wax:
Place the vessel in the freezer overnight
→ Wax will shrink and pop out easily
→ Any metal wick clips can be removed the same way
